Planning a safari from Marloth Park into Kruger National Park? Below are answers to the questions we're asked most often. All our Kruger National Park safaris depart from Marloth Park and enter the park via Crocodile Bridge Gate, one of the best wildlife viewing areas in southern Kruger.
1. Do you offer night drive safaris from Marloth Park into Kruger National Park?
No. No registered safari operator or Open Safari Vehicle (OSV) company is permitted to conduct night drive safaris from Marloth Park into Kruger National Park.
Night drives inside Kruger National Park are operated exclusively by SANParks. Guests wishing to experience a night safari must book directly with SANParks as an External Night Drive departing from Crocodile Bridge Gate.

2. What types of safaris do you offer from Marloth Park to Kruger National Park?
We offer both Shared Safaris and Private Safaris from Marloth Park into Kruger National Park via Crocodile Bridge Gate.

• Full Day Safari
• Split Day Safari
All safaris are conducted in a registered Open Safari Vehicle (OSV) with a qualified guide and a maximum of 10 guests per vehicle.
3. What time do your morning safaris depart?
Our Half Day Morning, Full Day, and Split Day Safaris depart approximately one hour before Crocodile Bridge Gate opens.
Gate opening times vary throughout the year according to seasonal daylight hours. Your exact pickup time will be confirmed after booking.
4. What time do afternoon safaris start?
Our Half Day Afternoon Safari departs from Marloth Park at 13:00.
5. How long is a Half Day Morning Safari?
The safari starts approximately one hour before Crocodile Bridge Gate opens and finishes at approximately 11:00.
6. How long is a Half Day Afternoon Safari?
The safari begins with pickup at 13:00 and continues until Crocodile Bridge Gate closes.
7. How long is a Full Day Safari?
Our Full Day Safari starts approximately one hour before gate opening and finishes at gate closing, giving you a full day exploring Kruger National Park.
8. What is a Split Day Safari?
The Split Day Safari operates during the two most active wildlife viewing periods.
Your safari includes:
• Morning session from gate opening until approximately 11:00
• Afternoon session from 15:00 until gate closing
This allows guests to avoid the quieter midday hours while enjoying excellent game viewing.
13. Are Kruger National Park conservation fees included?
Unless otherwise stated, conservation fees are not included.

18. Are there restaurants and shops inside Kruger National Park?
Yes.
Several rest camps within Kruger National Park have restaurants, cafés, takeaway facilities and convenience shops where you can purchase meals, snacks, drinks, souvenirs and basic supplies.
During Full Day Safaris and Split Day Safaris, there is usually time to stop at one or more rest camps for breakfast, lunch or refreshments. Depending on wildlife sightings and the day's route, Half Day Safaris may also include a comfort stop when time permits.
19. Are children allowed on safari?
Yes.
Families are welcome on all our safaris. Children must remain seated and follow the guide's instructions throughout the safari.
20. Is there a guarantee that we'll see the Big Five?
No.
Kruger National Park is a wild environment and wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed.
However, Crocodile Bridge Gate is recognised as one of the best areas in Kruger for Big Five sightings.
21. Can I book a private safari?
Yes.
Private Safaris are available for couples, families and groups wishing to enjoy an exclusive safari experience.
22. Do you enter Kruger National Park through Crocodile Bridge Gate?
Yes.
All our safaris enter Kruger National Park via Crocodile Bridge Gate.

26. What is the best time of year to visit Kruger National Park?
Kruger is a year-round destination.

Early mornings and late afternoons are generally the best times, as wildlife is most active during the cooler parts of the day.

The elevated seating in our Open Safari Vehicles provides excellent photographic opportunities, and our guides do their best to position the vehicle for the best possible views.
32. Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes.
Guests are welcome to bring their own refreshments, and meals and snacks can also be purchased at the restaurants and shops inside Kruger National Park.
33. Do your safaris operate in bad weather?
Yes.
Safaris operate in most weather conditions, including light rain. Wildlife viewing can often be excellent after rainfall.
34. What happens if it rains during our safari?
Rain forms part of the African bush experience.
We recommend bringing a lightweight waterproof jacket during the summer months.
